Gameplay
How Cold Blood works
The core loop is tracking. You follow footprints and blood to find dinosaurs, glass a herd from a ridge, then close in on the one animal you came for. You can hunt or tranquilize 17 dinosaur species, from Gallimimus to Tyrannosaurus, plus smaller wildlife.
Progression runs through permits, which go from Trainee to Primeval and give sharper senses and bigger scores. Trophies, rare colors, challenges and leaderboards give you further goals to chase. The description also lists 14 weapons, including rifles, longbows, crossbows and tranquilizers.
Hunting takes place across five reserves: Kettle Hollow, Blackwater Fen, Ochre Mesa, Thornveil Canopy and Ashfall Caldera. Day, dusk, night and weather change what you can see and what can hear you. Predators also hunt the herds and come to investigate gunshots.
